elpa-iedit software package provides edit multiple regions in the same way simultaneously, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install elpa-iedit
elpa-iedit is installed in your system.
Make ensure the elpa-iedit package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep elpa-iedit *
You will get with elpa-iedit package name, version, architecture and description in a table
